Boy I hope this amounts to some Christians getting angry enough to actually do more than talk about, post about it or rant about it! I have been trying to organize a march to our state capitals for a month now! With VERY LITTLE response- just a lot of, “You Go Girl’s”
What a crock!
Its time we take a stand for something for the sake of the Kingdom!

Well, let me know how you get on. As you say, your hate-fest proposals meet with “very little response”.
Actually, it wasn’t a proposal. I took someone up on their offer. We must protest the beheading of Christians, we must protest the annihilation of Christian values and morals in our country. We must protest the war on Christianity. I hate people who claim to be Christians but they do not fight for what is right. Like you they fight with other brothers in Christ but I seriously doubt you are more then a small “c” christian… Or there would be a flame burning in your heart to stand for what is true, righteous and holy. In other words take a stand for God Almighty. God says Jacob I loved Esau I hated. So it is that some are created for God’s glory in their goodness. Others are created for destruction but that too is for God’s glory. Read your Bible specifically Romans.
And if you claim to be a (big C) Christian then I suggest strongly you get on your knees and start praying for your government. Before you have no right to left to do so. but fear not because I am sure Claire Flourish that you are in no danger of ever being persecuted for being a Christian, for that does not seem to be one of your character traits.
I pray about our forthcoming election regularly. I am delighted that we have equal marriage already, one good thing by the Tory government.
I just don’t know how “c”hristians can claim that love Jesus and disregard His Word. The Bible clearly defines marriage and men or courts can NOT change the Word of God. So I will only recognize marriage between one man and one woman not because i hate, but because that is what the Bible says. And if you have a problem with that it is not a problem with me it is a problem with God and you should take it up with Him. So you can believe what you want but that doesn’t make it true, the only truth is the God of the Bible and His revealed Word. God and His Word never changes no matter what sinful man tries to do. Repent and believe
Which word would that be, “pastor”? “Love one another”?
Problem is that you, like most people, want to take love and make it God’s only attribute, but if you read your Bible you will see God is perfect in all His attributes, which includes justice. His wrath abides on all unrepentant sinner and those who knowing continue in sin, which God hates, yes God hate, because if you are perfect in your love you must hate those things that don’t conform to your love. I love children so I hate abortion. God’s word says everything we need to know about marriage and because man doesn’t like or think it is fair and man wants to continue in his sin, he tries to change it because he loves his sin more than he loves God. That won’t work out so good for you at judgement day. Read your Bible, it is the absolute truth and the absolute standard in all things. Repent and believe.
While you want to take God’s love and make it meaningless. You deny God. Turn to Christ!
I really can’t continue any intellectual dialogue with you until you actually read the Bible, study the Bible and let the Holy Spirit illuminate the Bible to you. At that time you can speak of those things you don’t know now, until then you “have ears but can not hear, and eyes but can not see”. Genesis 19:4-9; Leviticus 18:22, 20:13; Romans 1:24-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; and 1 Timothy 1:9-10. No, the Bible’s view of homosexuality is not politically correct. Society says that there is nothing wrong with two people “just loving each other.” They ask who are we Christians to judge them? But, we ask who are they to say what is morally right and wrong? Do they have an objective standard of morals that all people should follow? No, they don’t. They appeal to things like “society” and “common sense” and “basic rights,” to promote their opinion of homosexual normality. The problem is that societies have been wrong before (Nazi Germany, anyone?). What is common sense to one person isn’t necessarily common sense to another. And, basic rights? Well, we all have basic rights. But, the homosexuals want special rights. They want laws passed to protect their sexual behavior. They also want to redefine marriage and have everyone else to accept it.
Will the redefinition stop with homosexual marriage? Don’t bet on it. Pedophiles are now asking for rights, too, and they are using the same arguments initially presented by the homosexual movement decades ago
The trouble is, you are not responding in an intellectual manner now. You talk of Nazis, who murdered gay people in the concentration camps- that is where the pink triangle symbol comes from.

Love how your agenda twist peoples words as bad as you twist Scripture. I said the pedophiles use the exact same argument to push their agenda on people. Oh well nothing new under the sun. And the Nazi’s ha, you don’t read, you just pick out words to argue your agenda. I use the Bible as my ultimate source and until you and I can agree on that there is nothing more to discuss. Sin is sin no matter how you dress it up, (the Nazi’s, the pedophiles, the homosexuals, the adulterer, the liar, the theif….etc.) but when you repent and believe the gospel of King Jesus, the Holy Spirit convicts you of the sin you are in…repentance means turning away from that sin and turning to Christ for reconciliation. It is impossible for a person to remain in sin, knowing it is sin as it states in the Bible, and not receive the wrath of God at judgement day.
It is this Scripture probably more than any other that drives the homosexual agenda to turn to junk science and psycho-babble. They must find the missing link, the homosexual gene, and any evidence whatsoever that proves it’s God’s fault for making them this way; some proof that they are not responsible for their behavior and destructive choices; some documentation that promotes the idea that homosexuality is an inherent trait, like being black or left handed; and some new journal that demonstrates once and for all that homosexuality is impossible to change.
The only thing about homosexuality that is inherent, however, is the sinful nature every human being has received because of the fall of Adam and the subsequent advent of original sin. Homosexuality is simply one of the many actual sins that flows from the polluted well of original sin that springs from within every human heart. Why do dogs bark? Because they are dogs. Why do people sin? Because they are sinners. Homosexuality is simply one of the many sinful expressions man chooses that reveals our depraved nature, alienation from God and our need to know God’s great salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
God would not be just to create someone one way and then turn around and condemn them for acting out what He has made them to be. Besides, tens of thousands of former homosexuals have already been delivered out of the bondage of the gay deathstyle through the saving grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The good news is, homosexuals can change and become attracted to the opposite sex, get married, and have children.
What you say is ridiculous. One example will suffice: “You don’t read”, you say. I have read the Bible with the guidance of commentaries, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, many times. Your hatred blinds you to me, as to so much of God’s creation.
I have no hatred because the Bibles says if you hate it is like committing murder, no I love God the truth of His Word as it was written all Scripture is God breathed, So tell me how you justify your sin
If your actions look like a hater’s, then you hate. You vilify and exclude. You demean God’s good creation.

To love someone so much as to save them from an eternal death…. that would be the basis for all that we do. And that scripture is found, “As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear” 1 Timothy 5:20…. and so many many more!
Sometimes real love is painful truth being revealed. As so many are trying so hard to get what they call hate scriptures… Real love that reveal truth… removed from the Bible. this has happened since the beginning of time because man was born into sin but has created idols for himself representing the God of his choosing. Which is exactly what you are doing

On scripture, what do you think of stoning us? The words are plain.
“By their fruits… your fruit is hatred… you deny God’s Creation…” ?
Well, the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control (Gal 5:22-23). Hatred isn’t included. So I guess you don’t see any fruit? Then you are most definitely blind, because you have not done your research on who your are talking to.
What CREATION of God’s has been denied?
Stoning? Personally- Oh absolutely! Do I wish we would bring stoning back – as barbaric as it seems- it would most certainly put an end to foolish crimes. I do wish that we would impose the death Penalty- quickly and bring back corporal punishment to the classroom- but then again, if we would not “spare the rod” at home, then corporal punishment in the school would not be necessary.
You seem to want forgiveness without consequence – that is un-Biblical.

And in this case, Paul’s referring to a guy sleeping with his step mother – A WOMAN!
so you can only imagine why Paul said this: “But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you,” 1 Co 5:11-13
So a “brother” who “bears the name” of Christ, who is practicing things like homosexuality (sexual immorality) you are to be “purged from among” the church.
BUT IT GETS BETTER – Because now you will see just how much God despises having His Holy NAME (remember the 3rd Commandment) taken in vain:

Note: Sounds like homosexuality to me….
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice.
Note: That “debased mind” is why they think it’s natural or that they must have been “born with it.”
They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who PRACTICE such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” (That would be you).

May God’s mercy touch your heart so deep that you weep and morn over your sin and how it grieves the Holy Spirit of God.
May our light shine so bright that it causes those who see it to seek it out, but when their sin is illuminated by the source of the light, Christ – we pray they fall face down and to their knees in humble gratitude that He gave them another opportunity to repent and believe.
But we realize that that gate is very narrow and those who enter are again, very few.

Wow, Clare, you must not know that much about marches. They are not about hate, but about protest. Let me tell you this as a pastor and wedding officiant I stand behind this civil disobedience not out of hate but out of LOVE for almighty God and His inerrant and infallible Word, the Bible. You actually said “thank God” in your opening response which I find quite funny and highly contradictive to your cause you see if you knew God you would love God and His Word which is where we base our lives, then and only then you could actually thank Him and really mean it. As for our march it probably won’t go that far because most christian have diluted and compromised that gospel of KING JESUS to include many sins and abominations to almighty God and they live their comfortable lives as cowards in a bubble not willing to go to battle for the Kingdom of God and they will be met with a surprise on judgement day because He never knew them. Repent and believe.

The problem is to many people think exactly this way. The LAW of marriage and the bible are separate. Like it or not in america we have equal protections built right into the constitution. Which promises and guarantees equal protection for every law to all citizens. Thank god we also have protection from religious intolerance. You can’t use the state to force your narrow belief on anyone. Haven’t figured out why Christians are under attack yet? It’s because they are on the attack.
the law of man and the law of your personal belief in god aren’t the same. Nor is your right to define mans law by your bible allowed. Because you believe it so doesn’t make it so. Because you “refuse to recognize it” is your personal right to. However as the law is written “marriage: is mans law. That is why every wedding is closed with “By the power vested in me by the state of …….” because it’s not gods law that makes you married in this country it’s mans.
Know what happens if you removed “By the power vested in my by the state of ……”? The marriage didn’t happen and isn’t legal or binding according to the government.
Next it’s important to note yours isn’t the only faith to recognize “marriage” as a concept. thousands of years before the Torah and even more 1000s before your bible my people had marriage but recognized both multiple marriage and female/female marriage.
Christians shouldn’t be so quick to pretend themselves so moral and mighty. You after all brought war, genocide, mass murder, scalping, pollution, theft of land and so many more evils to my peaceful people. You then write distorted history of the savages to justify your own immorality. The law and the bible are separate. learn the difference.
You must learn you can’t use the state to enforce any religious view nor can any law be administered unjustly.
Marriage is a law of the united states of America. It grants certain rights and responsibilities as well as a legal recognition to two parties. As a law it must apply equally to all people or it fails the equal protections clause of our constitution. It’s not about a church since judges, captains of a ship and justices of the peace can marry people and they aren’t priests, pastors or holy men at all. Because of the legal status and privileges granted by the law you can’t deny any citizen access to those same protections. And don’t say separate but equal unions the law has already ruled on that once before.
And you had one thing right and it applies to you as well ma’am. “So you can believe what you want but that doesn’t make it true” It doesn’t make it true.
Michelle, I must inform you that you take the side of the God of the Bible or your worldview is reduced to absurdity…..The biblical God and His revealed word, the Bible and the impossibility of the contrary. Truth is that which corresponds to reality, Truth is absolute, not relative as in your worldview.
I must inform you god isn’t defined in a book made by imperfect men. The truth is not relative to your bible view either. So you have one thing right still. Just because “YOU” believe something is truth doesn’t make it truth.

Your bible has over 100 versions and 100s more that have been discontinued, there are 1000s of types of Christianity and none are in total agreement with the others. So even among Christians there is debate about the exact words and exact ways to be a Christian.

I can account for total truth and it’s Christians who borrow from me. The fact you can’t comprehend how anyone could have a different view of god than your imperfect book speaks more about your lack of intellectual ability and less about my faith.
PS name one thing I must borrow from Christians to account for my world view? The fact I have a heavenly father dates back 10,000 years and long before your own Christ told you that you do. The fact of heaven? Nope many cultrues long before Christians including my own believed in heaven and life after death. Name one thing UNIQUELY christian I can’t explain?
