Oh, did I type that outloud?
Okay Church… is this what it’s come down to… We have now handed off our duties, rights and responsibilities to a non-practicing money-hungry billionaire who… although I’m pretty sure he’ll beat Hill, he doesn’t exactly know Jesus.
“The Christians are being treated horribly because we have nobody to represent the Christians. Believe me, if I run and I win, I will be the greatest representative of the Christians they’ve had in a long time,” Trump said in an interview over the weekend.(via Donald Trump Just Made a Huge Announcement To All Christians)
Look, The Don is a
nice…. trying hard to be… I’m sure he means well type of guy… But my point is this – Why do we need a “savior” when we have a SAVIOR?
Here’s what the Don had to say about church… Listen close.. you can actually hear his crappy NY accent as he describes the fairy-tale life of the Trump religion… God is so lucky to have him as an advocate:
“First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, Queens, is where I went to church,” he told Christian Broadcasting Network in 2012. “I’m a Protestant, I’m a Presbyterian. And you know I’ve had a good relationship with the church over the years. I think religion is a wonderful thing. I think my religion is a wonderful religion.” Other famous Presbyterians who have run for the highest office and won include Andrew Jackson, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan (who grew up in the Disciples of Christ but joined the Presbyterian Church). Trump has also been a member of Marble Collegiate Church, a Reformed Church in America congregation and once the pulpit of Norman Vincent Peale, author of the mega-best-seller “The Power of Positive Thinking.” (http://www.religionnews.com/2015/06/16/5-faith-facts-donald-trump-presbyterian-collects-bibles/)
WHERE ARE YOU CHURCH?
