#istandwithkimdavis is the hashtag we are using. Now is the time for a Christian Revolution. It is time to make sure our voices are heard above the noise and so that when Jesus returns we are blameless, unlike those who remain silent – and call themselves children of the King. The King says this:
“If you deny me (which you do by your silence or obedience to unbiblical laws) then I will deny you before The Father.”
For those of you who are spouting laws, Supreme Court has ruled…. Separation of church and state… etc… You need to study up on why this is the greatest country in the world and why that nonsense about church and state and Supreme court being law is simply NOT true..
Here is what it actually says:
The first amendment states: “CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people to peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Funny…. No mention of “separation of church and state” anywhere to be found…. Because that is something that has been misquoted, misstated and misinterpreted for years!!!! Much like taking Biblical scriptures out of context. And much like the Bible, if you read the United States Constitution, then you understand that there is a SECOND PART to this amendment and it reads: “nor PROHIBIT THE FREE EXERCISE Thereof.”
Our forefathers came from a government-run church, our forefathers did not want to legislate religious denominations or govern them- that’s the separation!
James Madison, aka: “the architect of the constitution” says this: “Congress should not establish a national religion, and enforce the legal observation of it by laws.” This is known as the “free exercise clause.”
So, there’s a separation – but the clear intent is that you and I are free to practice our religion without fear of the government making laws that prohibit. Therefore, you can practice Hanukah and I can celebrate Christmas.
Shalom Brother!
Also please note that throughout this and every other amendment listed in the Constitution is the word, “CONGRESS” not the Supreme Court, is who makes the laws. We also have legislation in place protecting the legal rights of each state – the state of Kentucky says that marriage is between one man and one woman. So, Ms. Davis never broke the law either.
The Supreme Court is nothing more than an opinion, they are not law makers – they just make for interesting case-law.
America gives it’s citizen’s freedoms based on Biblical principals and that means we have a voice in this country and we need to DEMAND TO BE HEARD!
