Holly T. Ashley

Oh did I type that outloud?

Whose blood will be on your hands?

“Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.  His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.  He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.  And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.  From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.  On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.” (Rev. 19:11-16).

Some believe that Jesus is coming again to give this world a great big hug. To pat them all on the back and say, “you should have done better… but I’m here now, and it’s all gonna be okay… Daddy’s home.”

Unfortunately, that’s not quite right.

That isn’t even remotely correct – on any level.

What is actually going to happen is the LORD of lords and KING of kings, with eyes of fire and a blood-dripped robe, is going to wage a holy war and “strike down the nations,”– bringing the “fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.”

Whose blood will be on your hands?

I’ve been told that I have a “critical spirit.”

Not to my face – that would take courage and a backbone.

I make no concessions. I will not be shaken. Nor will have anyone’s blood on my hands when that day comes – and I stand before my God – In utter fear and trembling of His holy, righteous, Almighty presence… not to mention my utter worthlessness.

Unfortunately, I am among the few.

When I hear complacent, worthless, people of the church, “useless for any good work,” (Titus 1:16), say “Jesus is coming,” which I just heard again in a Bible study… with a big, fat smile on their faces – I just want to slap them.

Not to be mean – Just to wake them up. They must be sleeping… They have got to be dreaming…

Oh yes, I hope in Jesus’ return – but I also fear it.

Read the description of Christ’s presence upon His return… He has fire in His eyes.

The Bible tells us that “every knee will bow…”

I bet it’ll be more like a face-plant into the dirt, begging Him for mercy.

But there will be none.

There will be so many will be left to feel the fiery wrath of God Almighty. They will die a horrifying death – and it will never, ever end.

Some of them will be those who sat next to you in church last week… Others will be those you refused to present the gospel to, you refused to call them out for their sin against a holy and righteous God –

Because you might “offend” them… It might cost you a friendship. A business deal – Your job.

It might cost you a client you are “counseling,” a prominent place in your community, or a seat in your pew…. an “offering” in the plate. Some will be those you counseled using psychological theories rather than the gospel of Jesus Christ – never giving them the opportunity to repent of their sin and be forgiven.

And their blood is on your hands.

And God’s not going to give them a lethal injection…

They will suffer greatly:

“Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, ‘Come, gather for the great supper of God,  to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.’” (Revelation 19:17-18).

Leonard Ravenhill said there is no “urgency” in the pulpits. I’ll add to that statement – There is no urgency in the church. Period.

The ravenous wolves not only stand in our doorway – they are in our midst and the worse thing that could have happened, has happened: We wrap our arms around them and give them rest.

Free from the burden of their sin, we comfort them with platitudes of “Jesus loves you…”

But he does not.

“God hates the evil doer” (Psalm 5:5b).

Actually – they are forbidden to stand in His presence – (v. 5a).

So why do we allow them in our church – the very “Bride of Christ”?

Let alone, in our business dealings? Or God help us… in our church’s ministries?

You think I’m being “critical?”

Imagine if I stood in the doorway of your church… my church… and some people I knew – everyone knew as being well educated in theological studies came towards the door – and I declared, “Who do you think you are? You vipers! Repent! You have no fruit!”

Oh, my goodness! I would suffer the wrath of the entire Bible-belt community of the south, in addition to my church of “believers.”

But that is EXACTLY what John the Baptist did.

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” Matthew 3:7

But John gave them this warning:

He told them that they had a choice – Repent – So that Jesus could baptize them with the Holy Spirit. Or that this Christ, the holy one of God, who comes with a “winnowing fork in his hand,” would “clear the threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn – but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.” (v. 11-12).

Unquenchable fire.

For eternity.

Jesus is holy. He demands to be worshiped (in the awe of His splendor… a/k/a: THE FEAR OF GOD) or you will die in an unquenchable fire that will last for eternity.

We don’t preach that anymore. We don’t teach that anymore.

We don’t proclaim that anymore.

  • But, we certainly (covertly… cowardly) criticize those who do.

And because you refuse to preach the wages of sin and the gravity of depravity, their blood will be on your hands.

“If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.” (Ez. 33:8).

Therefore, I am critical… Actually, I am angry. The name of the LORD – the holy and righteous KING of kings and His bride is being corrupted.

And most of the corruption of the almighty gospel of Jesus Christ is coming from within the very walls of the church. The people who take the holy and righteous name of God Almighty in vain.

If that does not make you angry – then you and I don’t serve the same God.

And therefore, I warn you, you are lacking salvation and you need to repent because you are going to hell.

The wrath of God is coming – That is a promise.

My heart breaks for the Bride of Christ that has been and continues to be dishonored by the watered-down gospel of the modern-day church – and all those who are being led astray by her actions.

The church that no longer leads the nation – They don’t even lead the family! They do not speak out for the oppressed. They do not fight for justice. They do not speak out against any sins against the holy God they proclaim to worship.

We are at an all-time spiritual low in my lifetime. And I wonder if there was anyone building an ark right now – who would be invited to get on board? If God commanded that our modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah be burned – would there be a righteous man to come forth – and if there were, who would he find to declare righteous enough to escape the wrath of God?

Who would be left in America?

Would there even be a church left standing?

Or will it be burned to the ground?

I am critical… I am very critical. I don’t want these hedonistic, heretical, immoral, pathetic liars even so much as thinking they are worthy to enter into the church – let alone Christ’s holy throne – without crying out in shame, guilt, and fear of the broken, miserable, wretchedness they are.

Yet… Here they sit – In our midst, each and every Sunday and Wednesday. Attending Bible studies – Even teaching and leading Bible studies – and now we have one “advising” our President?

Really? I’m supposed to remain silent as the leader of the free world is being fed a false doctrine? By a deliberately sinning heretic?

And you know that I’m going to speak out about it regarding the leader of our country – Therefore, you can be assured that I will speak out against it in our church(es).

Unqualified, unholy, vile wretches that they are!

It is time to clear the temple and start turning over some tables, disciples of Christ.

They are in our midst. They are in our community. They are in our church. They are yoked with us in business. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing, void of anything holy and true, yet we invite them into our homes and break bread with them, we join with them in self-gratifying, self-righteous, business deals – calling it a “ministry.”

Here is a thought … If they don’t mention the holy name of “Jesus” on their materials, their website, or social media… They are not worthy to call themselves a Christian organization and therefore, since we are not to be unequally yoked – we are not to have anything to do with them!

“I will make my dwelling among them… I will be their God and they will be my people. THEREFORE, go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you…”

Right now, I fear the church is not welcome in the presence of the holy God Almighty. There is no fellowship between light and darkness. No grey area.

God is holy.

Nothing separates the church from the world anymore. Nothing.

We do not fall on our face with the proverbial, ashes and sackcloth. Or the literal: grieving and mourning over our sins. We don’t rebuke those who have fallen away from the truth of the gospel.

And we don’t support those who do, either.

Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way; He who hates reproof will die” (Pr. 15:10).

We have reduced repentance to reciting a man-made declaration that says, “Repeat after me and I will declare you holy.”

As if Jesus would ever do that without condemning them where they stand and offering the ultimate ultimatum: WORSHIP ME OR DIE, you brood of vipers and white-washed tombs!

Because we serve a holy, righteous God.

Not every “joe-blow” is allowed in the almighty’s presence. ONLY the repentant, broken and contrite spirit – is forgiven. Grace requires repentance.

We are the bride of Christ and we are commanded to be holy – as He is holy. Perfect – as He is perfect.

We are neither a refuge for those who seek refuge, in full repentance. Those who have a broken and contrite spirit will find no rest in our church. There is no validation of their justification – because there is no validation of their sin!

How do you know how righteous God is if you don’t realize how wretched you are?

You don’t.

But the courageous, prolific, arrogant sinner will be welcomed… With open arms!

Even if he doesn’t meet the 1 Timothy standards… even if his homelife is a train-wreck, his business dealings are questionable, and his pornography habit is a work-in progress…. as evidenced by the exploitation of his wife via the pictures he posts of her on social media…

But that’s ok, because, well – holiness and righteousness are no longer required.

As a matter of fact, after his prideful boasting of his sinful “past… and present struggles,” and a tearful hug from the hearers, he’ll be asked to teach Bible study, join the staff, become a deacon – or an elder… and disciple other men…

The women who sit faithfully in the church, serving on every committee, hosting every event – but refuses to “teach the younger women,” let alone participate in a theology “deep dive” (homework required) … will not be rebuked. They will be praised for their diligence in church duties – but not reprimanded for failing to adhere to God’s holy commands.

All while the younger, upcoming women follow their lead – and lead… men: Their men, other women’s men… Corporation’s men – all while leaving their children at home to raise themselves, so they can forsake that command as well – and go “break that glass ceiling.”

But their blood will not be on my hands.

So, it may seem that I am “critical,” of the church and a massive amount of people who dwell, serve, preach, and teach from within…

But there are people facing a fiery furnace, where there will be gnashing of teeth… and eternal torment called hell – And they will remain there for eternity – and they have never been warned that it is because of their sin that they are about to face a very holy and very angry LORD of lords and KING of king.

We are in the business of the sheepdog … corralling them up and sending them into the presence of godly men and women to disciple them – but we are fearful that we are running into the problem of having nowhere to send them to – because there are no disciples to make disciples!

There is no biblical standard for manhood or womanhood that is being preached! No one is ever “purged” from our midst! As a matter of fact, quite the contrary – with over 700++ sexual assaults throughout the United States at the hands of pastors, worship leaders, and other staff members – NO ONE has been “purged.”

All have been given the opportunity to retire with a full pension, if not a written letter of recommendation and sent on to violate more women at the next congregation that hires them (based on the letter of recommendation from the coward of the former church).

Therefore, how can I send a victim abuse to learn how to be a biblical woman and accept nothing less than a biblical man – When we don’t teach it or adhere to it in our own churches? And we don’t call it evil? We don’t call it sin.

We do nothing – and as the church goes, so does the family, and so does the country… (Ravenhill).

But I know this, their blood will not be on my hands.

So, you can call me critical – But I truly doubt that when I stand in God’s holy presence, He will say to me: “Holly… You were just too critical when you were defending my holiness and righteousness.

-But, by all means, give it your best shot – but quit being so covert – you cowards!

“… And day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Rev. 4:8, emphasis mine).
