Oh did I type that outloud?

IN GOD WE TRUST

The Bible tells us that believers… that is, those of us who are genuinely (and consistently) repentant, having been baptized, Bible studying, command following, Christ-honoring, disciples of Christ…

Will be transformed by the renewal of their minds (Rom. 12:2) in order “that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

In these days of the utter, humiliating destruction of America, I want to remind you that, as (professing) Christians, we are commanded to be the salt and light of the world. (Matt 5:13 – and like everywhere else in both the Old and New Testament!).

That means we go into the world – we don’t run from it; we confront it. We don’t hide our heads in the sand and declare that you can’t wait until Jesus comes…

I can assure you that if you are that person… the hider, bury your talents in the sand, the “I’ve got to think of my family and can’t lose my job,” denier of Christ,  you’re not going to be a happy camper on that day when that day comes, and He says, “I never knew you” (Matt 7:23).

“IN GOD WE TRUST.”

Our nation’s motto.

You see it in the courtrooms, on the money you treasure, and sometimes you can see it hanging under the rainbow flag in your child’s public-school classroom… yep, here in the “Bible belt,” too.

Some of you even put it on your license plate (as you flip off the driver who just cut you off… Yeah, I see you).

But do we really place our trust in God?

I believe, based wholly on the evidence presented by the behavior of the elected officials (old and new), those in the pulpits of our churches (and the congregations that allow for these wolves), the songs sung in those unholy, irreverent, churches, and the malicious attacks on those of us who genuinely do fight for Christ’s holiness –

The answer to that is an ice cold, hard, NO!

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.” (Titus 2: 11-15).

Your disregard for me is of no value.

God’s holiness is.

The purity of the Bride of Christ is.

Because – I do trust in God, I do trust in His holy word – which “discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Heb. 4:12).

In short:  I see you.

And although you think you are fooling me, you are not.

Nor are you fooling the holy, omnipresent, omnipotent, sovereign God of the universe.

And by mere observation of the actions of those little “c” Christians leading this nation (town, municipality, churches, schools, etc.), I can discern that we have a country of cold, rotten, unrepentant hearts.

No. “We the People” do not put their trust in God – and neither do their conservative candidates, public schools, business owners, lesser magistrates, universities… sadly, even their churches.

We trust the “system,” the elected officials, the “conservative” ticket.

Never have I seen such manipulation of the political spectrum as I see right now.

What a farce!

I’ve never seen so many wolves in sheep’s clothing as I do now!

Fake Christians… doing counterfeit Christianity!

Wolves, becoming master gas-lighters to those who do not trust in the Lord – because we do not read our Bibles.

“Like lambs to the slaughter…” (Rom. 8:6).

These CINO’s (Christians in name only) who “identify” with Christianity – are NOT disciples of Christ.

White-washed tombs, some of you – while others are simply ignorant of any biblical knowledge – but still try to use “faith” as their platform… faith in what? We still don’t know, but it’s certainly not Jesus – and it is not the God of the Bible, for sure.

But you would know that if you studied Scripture.

If you truly put your trust in God.

As obedient Christians, we are to believe (trust) the Bible as the infallible, inerrant, holy Scripture “breathed out by God…” (2 Tim 3:16).

We are to trust that the Bible is what it says it is: “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

And we would “rightly handle the Word of God” (2 Tim. 2:15).

We wouldn’t run from politics… Nor would we appease the people with empty promises of our “faith,” only to promote policies that remove any and all forms of Christianity from the eyes and ears of the constantly offended.

No. We would rule over them –

Or die trying –

We certainly would not allow false teachers to invade the pulpits, let alone those who marry the secretary whom they had an affair with for 20 years, or “ministries” that remove the name of Jesus from every single scrap of everything – and promote the homosexual evil on social media!

But we can only have the strength and courage to do that when – and only when – we put our trust in the Lord.

Because the Scriptures say that “the man of God is complete and fully equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim 3:17)

Read it again.

Scripture is always crystal clear.

But only when read in context:

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:16-17).

Do you hate feeling so convicted?

“I’m not convicted. I’m mad.”

Sure. But wait! It’s getting better…

Maybe you are not a “(wo)man of God” after all.

Maybe you just play one on Sundays – or in front of your fellow CINOs, who are too woke and inclusive to rebuke and restore you (2 Tim. 3:16).

Indeed, we (the church) have succumbed to the woke “inclusion” and affirmation of feelings – Rather than expose them with the holy Scripture: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jer 17:9).

But that’s pretty hard to do when your “Bible Study” is comprised of nothing more than a devotional book written by some dude you don’t even know.

Yet, you believe every one of the thirteen paragraphs about the one, single verse, without context… so you can apply it to having your best life now!

You would read your Bible, but you don’t know how… right?

Then you indeed are a eunuch, and your pastor is a wolf.

But go ahead. Tell me how much you trust in God.

You don’t even know who He is.

How can you trust what you don’t know?

How do you fulfill the command to “test all things” when you don’t read/study/know Scripture? (1 Th 5:21).

Better yet, how do you practice what you do not know?

You do not. Rather, you become Satan’s greatest asset.

It’s time for you to sit the bench and quit trying to call plays, until you read the playbook.

“Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.”

If we truly trusted God, then we would trust that when He says that He has placed His word on the hearts of all mankind, (Romans 2:14-16) we would trust that Scripture destroys every argument, every lofty opinion that is raised against the knowledge of God. (1 Cor. 10:5).

And demonstrate that in our WORDS, ACTIONS, ASSOCIATIONS, AND POLICIES.

I.e., an abortion clinic in a town of “believers” is probably not the identifying mark of those who trust in God.

Nope – you don’t want to offend.

Guess what CINOs: Scripture offends.

That might scare off your constituents. Congregants. Friends. Family.

“No one likes me!”

“I might lose my job.”

“Our children need a safe environment.”

“I need my own identity,” (said no biblical woman ever).

Newsflash: Satan’s world of tolerance and inclusion is not a safe environment – for you or your children.

And here’s another fact, Jack – Jesus is exclusive.

Women – you are commanded to love, submit to, honor, and respect your husbands – having your own identity is the complete, evil opposite.

The time has come and is, frankly, way past for sissies. It’s time for you to believe in Baal or Christ – but the Scriptures say, “chose this day whom you will serve.” (Josh 24:15).

Don’t be a coward.

The fact is that you may very well go broke when you stop serving other men at your job (women) and quit so that you can be the servant of your family and parent to your child that you were called to be – and “train them up in the way they should go,” or take care of your ailing parents as the Scripture tells you to do.

The fact is that you may very well lose that coveted (and I mean as in a violation of the no coveting commandment) social status (men) for standing up with the Truth of Scripture to denounce unholy, ungodly, unrighteous laws, policies, people, places, and things that go against the holy, righteous God you claim to serve….

Like PUBLICLY denounce them…. Outloud.

You might lose all your friends.

So what? I’ve learned to live with less than a handful – and even most of those only call on me when their lives are in the tank…

Or they need me to do something… for them.

You learn to live with the One who sticks closer than a brother. (Pr. 18:24).

Maybe it’s time for you to trust that the wounds of a [real] friend are faithful – rather than cherishing those profuse kisses of the enemy (Pr. 27:6).

You say that you live for Christ – but do you?

What profane words have you chosen to use today? (Js. 5:12)

What unholy, unrighteous, wretched, unrepentant, unbeliever are you dating… sleeping with? (Matt 19:1-30; Heb 13:1-25; Jude 1:1-25; Col 3:5; Rom. 12:1-2, etc., etc., etc.).

What violent, sexually explicit movies are on your watchlist? (1 Jn 2:16)

What nursing home are you choosing for your in-laws? (1 Tim. 5:8)

How many posts include your generosity towards others, your new car, house, or worldwide ministry (that never mentions Jesus or calls sinners to repentance, by the way) – that you might boast of your good works before men? (James 4:16).

We should be the loudest group of people on the planet – For Jesus, that is.

But that would mean, “In God we trust.”

But we do not trust in God.

If we trusted God, then we would not care if He allowed us to live or burn to death on an upside-down cross.

If we trusted in God, we would not care if we had a home or if we lived in the woods and ate locusts.

If we trusted in God, we would remain pure until the day He brought about that Titus woman or 1st Timothy man…

And remain faithful to praise Him – even if that day never comes.

If we trusted in God, we would risk our own death to save our children, or we would trust that we would have more than the stars in the sky.

–If we trusted in God, we would know that no matter how that baby inside of us came to be, God wants our trust to be in HIM; furthermore, He commands us to fight for the oppressed and fatherless, not commit murder.

If we trusted God, we would not fear status, friends, security, finances, or the dark days we live in – But we would use whatever position He has given to us to proclaim the Gospel – even after everyone has mocked, maligned, shunned, wagged their heads, slandered, attacked…

and even…

God forbid…

Unfriended and unfollowed us.

If we trusted in God, we would “purge the evil from among us,” not embrace it and lie to them, telling them “Jesus loves you…”

Because He does not. (Read the first chapter of Romans or Ezekiel, or any of the prophets, or dare to embrace the horror for the unsaved that is revealed in Revelations).

Fact: God hates the unrepentant sinner so much so that he has designed and orchestrated an eternal fire pit of sulfur, “where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,” for all of eternity… for those who do not repent and “follow” Him; i.e., As in trust in the Lord with all your heart; Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.

How about you tell that tidbit of Scriptural truth at your next debate on the “issues” or preaching in your non-offensive (to your woke congregation) cut-offs, flip-flop, skinny jeans at your culturally appropriate -music-stand pulpit?

I know you won’t.

Because you do not “trust in the Lord with all of your heart,” but rather, you “lean on your own understanding.”

You understand nothing.

What is it that you think you are enduring? What trials? What suffering?

That your mortgage went up? Your credit score went down?

You freaking live in America!

Give me a break!

You wouldn’t know suffering until they cut off your head.

… of course, that would mean you truly did trust in God.

And for that, we the saints would rejoice!

***

Like every great bulldog, I will defend my Master – and when you take the Lord’s name in vain by professing to be a Christian – then profane that name – this dog will bite.

But my bite ain’t nothing like what God has in store.

Just be grateful I didn’t mention you by name.

Jesus did not endure the wrath of God by taking on yours and my sin, being beaten nearly to death then hanged on a cross – so that we could play with fire and not get burned.

That’s not how it works.

But maybe you don’t care.

You don’t give Him glory now – why then, would you want heaven?

“…day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Rev. 4:6).

God will not be mocked.

Repent.

“Not only did you walk in their ways and do according to their abominations; within a very little time, you were more corrupt than they in all your ways” (Ez 16:47).
