“For it is not an enemy who taunts me – then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me – then I could hide from him. But it is you, a man, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend. We used to take sweet counsel together; within God’s house, we walked in the throng” (Ps. 55:12-14).
If you can imagine being crushed by your very best friend – the one your soul loved – then you have stepped into the world of a victim of abuse. Broken, confused, and crushed… wondering, “how did I get here – and what do I do now?”
Redemption. Restoration. Recovery. (R3) Domestic Violence services want to come alongside these hurting individuals and comfort them with the same comfort that Jesus has shown to us. We have walked in their shoes and those same shoes will help carry them through this time in their lives.
Help us help them.
All gifts given today will be matched dollar for dollar by the Gates Foundation. We thank you for your love and support for this mission.
