CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS!
“You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many” (2 Cor. 1:11).
David and I have been asked to present at the American Association of Christian Counselors World Conference this September.
Although we have smaller conferences scattered throughout the summer – this one is HUGE!
We sincerely desire to be covered in prayer for this opportunity to hit the mission field of America – as we believe nothing happens by chance – “and that it is God who establishes us… and has anointed us and who has also put his seal on us and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee” (1 Cor. 1:21-22).
It is our privilege to speak about our own afflictions we have suffered as a result of domestic violence, “So that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too” (2 Cor. 1:4-5).
It is our honor to be chosen out of thousands, to be the ones who will speak to the churches… the Pastors… the leaders about taking back what is rightfully ours – “To open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute and to help the church “Open their mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the poor and needy” (Pr. 31:8-9).
We will be presenting and exhibiting the R3 (Redemption. Restoration. Recovery) Domestic Violence Services and Training program and the curriculum, teaching manual, class facilitation guide, and student workbook.
Our mission is to provide churches with the tools they need – equipping the saints for service to both the domestic violence offenders and victims – that is what we do – we pray that as we throw out this life-vest, they take it, they engage instead of simply referring to “proper authorities” and non-Christian service – and then proceed to casually wash their hands, shake their heads, and dismiss the needs of these hurting, broken individuals and families.
David and I will give a presentation and meet with thousands of church leaders, counselors, and lay-people with regard to comforting those who are victims of domestic violence. Please pray that the Gospel is heard and the desperate cry of so many (12,000 each year who go without services) will be heard and we will motivate the church to act.
Since God has made this happen, we know He will provide the funding (which we are in need of)- But, what we need most is to be covered in prayer – therefore, we would ask that you please add us to your prayer list for the next few months as we prayerfully prepare for this mission trip in September.
